My Story

Hi, I’m Kim!

Kim Pike Walters Financial Coach

For over 10 years, I climbed the corporate ladder in my finance career. The money was good and most of the people were great, but I realized I wasn’t excited about the work itself anymore.

So, I started soul-searching. One thing stood out right away: I’d been volunteering with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program for over a decade, preparing taxes for lower-income families, and I loved it. Year after year, I kept coming back because I loved the positive impact I could make by providing just a little financial help. One client even offered to tip me because she was so grateful for my help, a gesture I’ll never forget.

At the same time, a friend confided that they wanted to move to a new city but couldn’t afford it. I knew if we sat down together, we could walk through the numbers and create a plan for them.

With these two points of reference and some quality time with Google, I learned about financial coaching, and something clicked. The more I learned about it, the more excited I was. I was having a hard time sleeping because I was brimming with enthusiasm, ideas, and possibilities! I feel so lucky that I now have a career helping health & wellness entrepreneurs decrease their financial stress!

My favorite part about being a financial coach is seeing my clients get amazing results! Here is what a couple of clients have said about working with me:

Kim is so awesome and super encouraging! She made me feel safe and comfortable speaking about money. I came out of our session feeling more confident and in control of my finances.
— T.T.
Before working with Kim, I was struggling with credit card debt. After 4 months, I paid it ALL off and built confidence in myself that I can achieve my long-term financial goals. I can’t thank her enough!

  • Pug dog with toy

    My dog, Hundley

This guy sleeps about 22 hours per day! You may even hear him snoring in the background during a call :)

  • Jigsaw puzzle pieces

I lose track of time when puzzling, especially if I'm also listening to a great audio book!
