MEET KIM
FINANCIAL COACH & FOUNDER
Why I traded the corporate finance for financial coaching.
For over a decade, I lived the life many strive for: climbing the corporate ladder, earning the MBA, and securing my CPA license while managing multi-million dollar budgets for Fortune 500 companies. The money was good, (most of) the people were great, and the career was successful by every traditional metric.
But behind the spreadsheets, I found myself searching for something more. I realized I wanted to use my financial expertise to make a difference for individuals, couples, and small business owners who can't afford a whole finance team in their corner.
My aha! moment
The spark didn't happen in an office; it happened in my community. For over ten years, I’ve volunteered with the VITA program, preparing taxes for lower-income families who needed support navigating a stressful and confusing process. I’ll never forget the client who was so grateful for my help that she wanted to tip me. I politely declined, but that gesture showed me how a little financial help can make a big difference in someone's life.
When a close friend confided they felt trapped in a city they didn't love because they couldn't afford to move, something clicked. I knew that if we sat down together, we could create a plan to make it happen.
Now, I help ambitious small business owners find the balance between enjoying life now and making steady progress towards their future goals.
I realized that my 10+ years in corporate finance had given me tools that could help everyday people make progress with their money, not just big companies. And the part that excited me most was the chance to work with people one-on-one to reduce their financial stress, and actually see the difference that support could make. I was so excited by this career change that I couldn't sleep and wanted to quit my corporate job the next day!
Today, I combine my CPA experience with the compassionate, proactive support of a coach. I don't just hand you a spreadsheet and wish you luck. I help you understand what your numbers are telling us, create a plan that fits your real life, and follow through with support and accountability along the way.
Think of me as a personal trainer for your finances. Whether we’re navigating the ups and downs of irregular income from your business or finally crushing that credit card debt for good, I help you build a custom roadmap and give you the support and accountability you need to make lasting progress.
No judgment. Just the clarity and support you need to feel more in control of your money.

A few of my favorite things:
-

Hundley (Chief Nap Officer)
My dog sleeps about 22 hours a day. If you hear a light snoring in the background of our call, that’s just Hundley doing his best work.
-

Puzzles
I love losing track of time with a 1,000-piece puzzle and a great audiobook. It’s the same way I look at your finances, taking a jumble of pieces and finding where they perfectly click together.
-

Reading
Lately, I’m rotating between Romantasy and Self-Development. I love a good story, whether it’s in a book or the one we're rewriting for your future.
-

Board Games
I’m obsessed with legacy games that involve storytelling and permanent changes (yes, I’m the person who actually enjoys ripping up the cards when the game tells you to!).
